Provides general surgical services to patients.
Responsibilities
WellSpan Medical Group is seeking a BE/BC General Surgeon to join WellSpan Surgical SpecialistsChambersburg. WellSpan Health is a nationally recognized integrated health system that serves twelve counties. Our strategy is teambased and focused on patient safety quality and physician wellbeing.
Position Highlights:
- Join an experienced & collegial team of 6 physicians.
- 3 Advanced Practice Providers work collaboratively with the surgeons.
- Chambersburg Hospital is a busy 274bed hospital.
- In addition to the hospital the physicians operate at a stateoftheart ASC.
- Approximately 7300 surgeries are performed each year.
- The emergency department sees 54000 patients per year.
- Call is taken from home shared equally & allows for work/life balance.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of a Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
- Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
