Responsibilities

The Genomics Program Coordinator reports to the Clinical Oncology Quality Manager. The Coordinator is responsible for the daytoday operations of the precision oncology program data collection patient screening and care coordination for Northside Hospital. The Coordinator collaborates with pharmacy pathology medical oncology and other supporting departments to develop and monitor genomic testing protocols policies orders and results. Ensures costeffective efficient operations along with high quality evidencedbased care. Prepares reports and communicates quality data and other qualityrelated information to appropriate committees teams and leadership. Assists multidisciplinary teams and departments system wide in meeting quality related genomics goals. Oversee direct reports and facilitate growth. Facilitate quality studies and program development alongside the Clinical Oncology Quality Manager. The role works with NHCI leadership to establish direction and plan for the use of clinical genomics across the network.

Qualifications

  1. Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  2. Current licensure as a Registered Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  3. Please refer to medical staff guidelines for certification and credentialing applicable to this position.
  4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills.
  5. Minimum of one 1 years experience in a leadership role
    1. Experience conducting data collection and analysis as well as project management in Oncology is preferred
  6. Established interpersonal skills combined with the ability to be highly motivated and work independently
  7. Excellent organizational analytical and problemsolving skills
  8. Ability to function effectively with a wide variety of disciplines including physicians and hospital leaders.
  9. Ability to provide presentations on topics related to quality improvement issues.
  10. Able to lead a multidisciplinary team to accomplish an assigned project
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel Word PowerPoint and MS Project.

PREFERRED

  1. Active participation in professional organizations
  2. Experience working within a community hospital setting is preferred as well as having experience working with physician groups
  1. Experience assisting clinicians with developing proposals and protocols
  2. Advanced Clinical Genomics Nurse (ACGN)
  3. Oncology Nursing (OCN) certification
  4. One 1 year relevant experience in a clinical research setting.

8:00AM 4:30PM
