Job Description
General Floor Industriesa wellestablished and respected flooring distributor in Bellmawr NJ is seeking experienced CDL drivers who enjoy a work life balance that ensures you are home every night and all weekend long.
Job Description:
Our drivers work Monday Friday starting at 4 AM until completion of their routes which typically include 35 stops. We guarantee a 40 hour work week with limited overtime. Our vehicles are newer well maintained leased vehicles that include tandem axle tractor trailers (day cab and 48 trailer) and 26 tandem box trucks with lift gates. GF drivers are responsible for safely transporting flooring material from our Bellmawr NJ distribution center out to any of our 18 branch locations in the tristate area (DE NJ and PA). We back haul from our branches or occasionally from vendors within your daily route and will be required to efficiently load these material for a safe return trip to our DC.
Skills:
- Have good communication skills.
- Be able to work independently.
- Being able to read warehouse transfers / paperworkand customer orders
- Abide by all roadsafety regulations as well as DOT and OSHA safetystandards
- Have a sense of time management.
- Work Flexibility as sometimes needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Class A CDL licenseand provide a good MVR.
- Minimum of 1 year recent safe and verifiable CDL driving experience.
- Must be able to pass DOT drug screen and physical as well as background check.
- Ability to bend lift / handleup to 65 lbs. and stoop without difficulty.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
