Job Description

Are you a skilled attorney with expertise in conflicts of interest analysis A toptier law firm in Washington DC is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to assist with reviewing analyzing and resolving conflicts related to lateral hires new clients and matter openings across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve conflicts of interest for new legal personnel and new business intake.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Conflict Services and General Counsels Office to clear and approve conflicts.
  • Draft and maintain conflict waivers and review Outside Counsel Guidelines for compliance.
  • Assist in implementing Ethical Walls and training conflicts personnel on Model Rules of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to a state bar in good standing.
  • 2 years of conflicts resolution experience in a major law firm or financial institution.
  • Expertise in the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and complex transactional conflicts analysis.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
