Position Overview: Were seeking a Microsoft Licensing Analyst to manage optimize and ensure compliance with Microsoft software licensing across all state agencies. This role involves license tracking procurement support compliance auditing and stakeholder guidance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer and manage Microsoft software licenses using ServiceNow.
Track license usage renewals and true ups to optimize costs.
Ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing agreements and SAM (Software Asset Management) policies.
Support procurement teams in negotiating and procuring licenses efficiently.
Maintain relationships with Microsoft and Insight (reseller) representatives.
Conduct license audits and collaborate with internal/external auditors.
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on licensing models compliance and cost optimization.
Generate regular reports on license usage compliance and cost trends.
Deliverables:
Monthly and quarterly compliance and cost reports.
Annual audit reports on licensing activities.
Training materials on Microsoft licensing policies.
Uptodate licensing records in ServiceNow.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in Microsoft licensing management (Enterprise Agreements CSP programs).
Strong understanding of SAM policies and licensing best practices.
Proficiency in ServiceNow or similar tools.
Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Microsoft certifications (e.g. SAM Professional) preferred.
