DevOps Engineer - New Grad

Overview

Susquehanna International Group is seeking a talented Associate DevOps Engineer to join our Monitoring Management and Automation Services team which isresponsible fordelivering solutions for server monitoring network device monitoring device provisioning job scheduling troubleshooting and big data mining. We also support Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) automation that includes continuous integration software build systems software packaging and deployment systems source control systems issue tracking systems building and deploying core reusable components and more.

In this role you will:

• You will have an opportunity to use maintain support and improve our enterprise monitoring management and automation systems and work with the latest technologies in our multivendor enterprise environment consisting of more than15000servers 2000 network devices 150 firewalls and250 PBof storage.

• You will partner with our engineering development and business teams to build solutions that drive the next generation of monitoring & SDLC solutions at Susquehanna.

• Rotate across technology spaces: As part of the team you will be able to rotate with senior engineers specializing in a variety of management automation and SDLC knowledge domains. During these rotations you will partner with engineers to learn the fundamentals of their spaces and help them solve complex problems from building out new environments evaluating and creating new applications performance tuning automation and configuration management.
• Work with mentors: In each rotation you will be paired with one or more mentors that will guide you through your technical growth and Susquehannas environment. In addition to dealing with daytoday project work together you will pinpoint your areas of interest and avenues for growth. You will also work closely with the rest of our teams through design/white board sessions problem solving discussions and ongoing project and team updates.

• This role includes support of 3rd party & proprietary software as well as creation of automation scripts expanding or creating custom solutions based in a variety of technical stacks including Bash Powershell Python and more. Our vendor and open source systems include Elasticsearch Grafana Nagios Gitlab Teamcity OctopusDeploy and more.You will take part in evangelizing and implementing the latest technology focusing on site reliability and development operations.

• 05 years of progressive experience in distributed systems development systems administration and/or automation
• Basic understanding of operating system fundamental
• Scripting experience (PowerShell or Python for example) and software development tools experience required
• Experience in Linux systems administration in a medium to large enterprise server environment is a plus
• Experience with Atlassian Suite tools is a plus
• Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK) is a plus
• Experience in enterprise monitoring job scheduling and ticketing software is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or related discipline or comparable work experience is requiredVisa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
