- Valid Truck and Coach Technician 310T) certificate and Automotive Service Technician 310S) certificate
- 45 years of experience working on light vehicles heavy trucks and equipment
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy and winter maintenance equipment
- Good technical and mechanical skills with strong knowledge of parts and repairs of heavy equipment
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable abstract
- Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment demonstrating superior customer service skills
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated safe work practices (in compliance with applicable legislation i.e. Occupational Health & Safety Act Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 County of Brant Health & Safety Policies & Procedures etc.
Assets:- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician 421A)
- DZ endorsement
- Municipal experience
- Experience with hydraulic systems
Duties:- Maintain and repair a variety of light medium and heavy equipment
- Conducts vehicle inspections in accordance with provincial and municipal requirements
- Complete all documentation required to generate a complete and accurate maintenance log including but not limited to the vehicle daily logbook and service repair sheets for all vehicles and equipment that are serviced or maintained
- Respond to equipment break downs outside of normal working hours as required
- Complete maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and organized worksite
- Oversee the work of an apprentice if required
- Other duties as assigned
