SLD Laser a world leader in commercialization of gallium nitride (GaN) based laser light sources was acquired by KYOCERA Corporation and has commenced operations as a wholly owned subsidiary and group company of KYOCERA Corporation under the name KYOCERA SLD Laser Inc. (KSLD). KSLD is commercializing a new generation of gallium nitridebased laser light sources. Experience and Skills:

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician role involves ensuring efficient and highquality production of goods adherence to safety standards to achieve production goals. The Manufacturing Technician will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements and maintain operational efficiency.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsible for production including daily production delivery plan production cost (FTT) first time yield safety and quality targets.
Responsible for performing routine maintenance calibration and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure proper setup and operation of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Maintain high product quality safety and yield while ensuring optimal cost use of resources and adherence to best safety practices.
Identifying faults and troubleshooting wherever possible.
Support upgrades new product and material introductions by supporting design teams creating process plans tracking budget costs and project schedules and developing countermeasures for timely completion of project goals.
Drive high quality standards in everything we do such as process control systems monitoring key product metrics consistency in documentation and 5S initiatives.
Develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in safety environmental quality cost efficiency and productivity objectives.
Provide feedback to management on issues benchmark other organizations for best practices.
Collaborate across boundaries for the best outcome by working with Sales Marketing Finance Engineering and Test and Quality departments.

Experience and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in electronics engineering or related technical field preferred.
35 years experience in highvolume highspeed manufacturing
Must be willing to work from 6.00am to 6.00pm on Thursday Friday and Saturday and every other Wednesday.
Ability to work with minimum guidance in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Great organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be able to work a compressed workweek.
Must have hands on experience in semiconductor processing.
Ability to work well under pressure manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines with strong followthrough.
Ability to foster a close working relationship with team members and management.
The ideal candidate is analytical detailoriented selfmotivated well organized and able to proactively communicate with all employees and works well in a fastpaced multicultural environment.
Excellent verbal interpersonal and written communication skills
A strong sense of urgency and drive

The fulltime salary range for the Manufacturing Technician position is $32.00 to $37.00 per hour. The range reflects the minimum and maximum possible base salary for new hires for the role based on the advertised location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including work location jobrelated skills experience and relevant education and training.
