Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient experiences and work well within a team. This position represents the practice in all facets of patient services. This is a fulltime position with benefits. The surgical financial coordinator is responsible for helping patients understand both the value of their investment in dental health and what options they have to pay for it.


Responsibilities of Surgical Financial Coordinator

  • Greeting patients

  • Coordinating treatment between our office and referring offices

  • Verify necessary steps are taking to facilitate patient treatment

  • Works closely with Dental Surgical Assistants ensuring a patients treatment plan is entered correctly and phased appropriately within our patient management software

  • Helps patients overcome their individual obstacles to achieve the dental care that they need and want

  • Answering the telephone

  • Scheduling appointments

  • Collecting and processing payment

  • Maintaining patient records

  • Communicates with other essential team members to coordinate patient flow

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area


Requirements of Surgical Financial Coordinator

  • 1 year experience in office administration banking real estate or other applicable field involving strategic conversationswith people

  • Comfortable with talking to patients about finances and presenting dental treatment as prescribed by our doctors

  • Knowledge of insurance and billing is helpful

  • Sustained positivity and energy throughout the day

  • Communicates clearly with patients and all team members

  • Attention to detail

  • Professionalism


Compensation and Benefits

  • Wage: $2428 per hour DOE

  • Bonuses based on performance

  • 90Day Review and wage assessment with potential of increase

  • 3640 hour work week

  • Health Insurance Benefit at 30 days all other benefits eligible after 90day probation

  • 40 hours Vacation (Accrued Annually) doubles at year 3 of service.

  • 3 days sick pay per year.

  • 5 paid holidays.

  • Medical available.

  • 401K Employer contribution
