We are seeking experienced midlevel and senior associates to join our Litigation Group in Wilmington. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters particularly in the Delaware Court of Chancery alongside a team of highly skilled attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of commercial corporate and securities litigation matters with a focus on Delawares Court of Chancery.
- Represent clients in defense of class and derivative actions securities fraud claims and bankruptcy litigation.
- Advise on fiduciary duties of directors corporate valuations statutory appraisals and insurance acquisition transactions.
- Assist with representation of special committees and complex corporate governance disputes.
- Participate in both trial and appellatelevel litigation in federal and state courts.
- Draft motions pleadings and other legal documents; assist in discovery deposition preparation and trial preparation.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies and client advice.
- Manage client relationships and help drive business development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- JD from a toptier law school.
- 35 years of litigation experience with significant exposure to Delaware Court of Chancery matters.
- Experience in corporate governance securities fraud bankruptcy litigation and class actions.
- Strong legal research drafting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
