Echocardiograph Technologist Multiple Positions *Signon Bonus
Location:Portland Oregon United States
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physicians orders utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including but not limited to Transesophageal echocardiography Transcatheter echo guided procedures (location specific) pericardiocentesis echo guided myocardial biopsies (location specific) contrast enhanced exams exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Has the ability to modify procedures to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a costeffective basis.

Required Qualifications:
Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer
Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
Upon hire: National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Upon hire: National Provider BLS American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree: Applied Science from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
One year: Experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations OR Minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available.
Pediatric echocardiography experience.
Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices).
Experience with echo guided transcatheter procedures.
