Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monitor and optimize SQL Server databases ensuring high performance security and availability.
- Design implement and manage Azurebased database solutions including Azure SQL Managed Instances and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
- Lead database migration projects from onpremises to Azure utilizing tools like Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) and Data Factory.
- Implement Azure security best practices including identity management encryption and regulatory compliance measures.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates PowerShell and Terraform to automate deployments and optimize cloud resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of DBAs and cloud engineers ensuring technical excellence and project alignment with business goals.
- Utilize Azure Monitor Log Analytics and Application Insights to proactively identify and resolve performance and availability issues.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7 years of total experience with at least 4 years working with Azure.
- Strong foundation in SQL Server Database Administration (SQL DBA) including performance tuning and disaster recovery.
- Handson experience with Azure SQL Azure Synapse Analytics Cosmos DB and other cloudbased database services.
- Expertise in Azure Infrastructure (VMs Networking Storage Security and Automation).
- Experience with database migration tools such as Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) Data Factory and SSIS.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong tea
- m leadership and people management skills with prior experience in leading technical teams.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and communication skills.
