Job Description

In addition Applied provides engineering design and systems integration for industrial fluid power and flow control applications as well as customized mechanical fabricated rubber fluid power and flow control shop services.
Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Intern Shop Coordinator/Warehouse at our Kamloops BC location. The selected candidate will be part of our Applied Scholarship Program.
MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
We are seeking dedicated students who are interested in building a lasting relationship with us by returning year over year for Intern terms with the ultimate goal of permanent employment after graduation.
As part Applieds Scholarship Program at the end of each successful term the selected student will receive a scholarship award for their hard work. Upon returning each year and successfully completing a subsequent term that award will increase in value!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving and shipping all materials and products in an accurate and timely manner
- Sort material stock shelves pick orders package and label materials
- Pick and prepare sales orders for outbound shipment
- Utilize and manage bin locations
- Organize and maintain all applicable records and files
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the companys service offerings
- Maintain cooperative and productive interdepartmental relationships to deliver exceptional customer service
- Take personal responsibility for and actively engage in product systems and skill training and development
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

- Positive attitude
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Fastpaced environment; work under pressure; attention to detail; repetitive tasks; bending crouching kneeling. Able to lift and carry heavy parts of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
