POSITION TITLE: Assistant District Attorney Firs

LOCATION: Miami OK

STATUS: Full Time Exempt

CLOSING: Open until filled

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

District Attorney Douglas S. Pewitt is seeking 1st Assistant District Attorney. Successful candidate must have experience as a prosecutor. Experience as 1st ADA a plus but not required. Offices located in Jay Oklahoma and Miami Oklahoma.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.

  • Experienced attorney. Must have experience as prosecutor.

  • Team player looking to collaborate learn and grow as a prosecutor.

  • Persons with an interest in civil and/or Native American law are especially sought.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prosecute felony and misdemeanor cases. Guaranteed trial work.

  • Assist in providing legal services to County Government Operations.

  • Oversee team of prosecutors.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development training.
