The Client: We proudly represent an innovative Australian owned Marine & Naval Defence Engineering firm theyve recently come under new management & are looking to continue the proud history of dedicated services to LNG Marine & RAN (Royal Australian Navy) & mining sectors across Australia (presently WA) Hence were currently seekingexperienced Laggers/Insulatorsto join their team of professionals.
We are seeking suitable skilled insulation Laggers with the following experience for a role based in Henderson WA working on Naval defence vessels.
Skills and experience
The ideal candidate would have:
- Marine defence and commercial experience.
- Experience with Polyimide and Armaflex insulation.
- Knowledge with working on Royal Australian Navy Vessels.
You must be able to demonstrate the following personal attributes and skills:
- Cooperate at all times with site management in ensuring compliance with client and company procedures and relevant legislation.
- Ensure all scope of works are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identify and report safety hazards and take appropriate action.
Applicants must:
- Possess a high level of analytical ability with minimal supervision and with a high degree of autonomy.
- A commitment to working as part of a team.
- Ability to be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to cope with the inherent load fluctuations of the occupation and work environment.
- Possess the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Be willing to take random alcohol or drug testing as part of your day to day work.
- Must be able to insulate bulkheads deckheads pipes and valves in a quick manner. Must understand different insulation specs for different services. A high level of pride in work is essential.
- Must own all required basic insulation hand tools.
- Must be available for an immediate start.

You must also be able to read and understand the following:
- JHAs
- ITPs
- Insulation drawings
- Take 5
- MSDS
Essential requirements:
- Sound process & application knowledge/experience checks/tests
- Excellent verbal and analytical skills
- Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements
- Key team player whos happy to get in & help all team members
- MSIC (preferred not a must)
- Current Police Clearance (a must or the ability to attain one)
