Description of the Organization:
For almost 30 years LEAP has worked with children teenagers and young adults in New Haven Connecticut in some of the lowest income urban neighborhoods in America. As the largest youth agency in our city we provide free academic support social enrichment and leadership development but we do so in a unique way. We give older students (ages 1624 the training education and resources they need to work as counselors to our younger students (ages 715. In doing so we go beyond impacting individual lives through education and employment. We build a community with power and purpose.
Position Summary and Principal Working Relationships:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and disbursement of biweekly payroll for up to 175 employees. The coordinator will onboard new employees create employee profiles and files. The Payroll Coordinator will also oversee contribution tracking for LEAPs 403(b) retirement plan employee benefits and payroll status changes. The Payroll Coordinator ensures that payroll records are maintained accurately and runs reports as needed in support of management and annual audits. The Payroll Coordinator is supervised by the Managing Director of Finance and is part of a 3person Finance Office team.
