07/01/2025The Digital Innovation Specialist is responsible for providing leadership in integrating technology into teaching and learning across all educational settings. This role involves coaching training and developing curriculum integration strategies to help teachers and instructional staff including Digital Learning Coaches effectively use technology. The specialist collaborates with instructional staff for planning coteaching and modeling strategies to integrate technology into teaching and learning. This position involves collaboration with other districtlevel staff to support the school improvement process.The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required. Reports consistently for work as scheduled
Performs other duties as assigned
Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
Collaborates with Information Technology (IT) department staff on technical issues relating to instructional and digital resource applications
Collaborates with other Learning Services staff to coordinate the integration of instructional technology into standardsbased curricula
Creates educational materials and guides to help instructional staff effectively use digital resources
Designs and implements district and schoolbased professional learning opportunities for Digital Learning Coaches (DLCs) and other instructional staff in support of the school site plan and standardsbased curricula
Develops and supports the Digital Innovation Services (DIS) Team vision for the integration of educational technology and digital resources
Leads and supports digital citizenship education across the District
Leads innovation with instructional practices utilizing new and existing digital resources
Models and shares best practices for integrating instructional technology and digital resources into the curricula
Provides guidance for policy considerations with regard to student and staff use of digital resources
Provides guidance for student data privacy and student personally identifiable information (SPII)
Provides leadership to and facilitates communications among Digital Learning Coaches (DLCs)
Researches and evaluates the effectiveness of digital applications instructional technologies and related initiatives
Supports implementation of school site plans
Supports multischool purchasing/licensing of instructional technology and digital resources
Supports technology and digital resource grants
Works collaboratively with the Director for Digital Innovation Services and other team members on projects related to the integration of educational technology and digital resources

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g. B.A. A.B. B.S.
Masters degree (e.g. M.A. M.S. M.Eng M.Ed M.S.W. M.B.A. M.L.S. in Educational Technology Instructional Design Information Science or a related field
35 Years of Classroom Teaching Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coaching other educators in the use of educational technology
Secondary teaching or instructional experience
Compensation Range:
