Job Description
PLC Programmer
Job Type:Permanent
Hours:FullTime
Location:Carlisle
Salary:up to 45000 (DOE)
NXT Recruitment is proud to be supporting a local business in automation solutions seeking a PLC Programmer. The successful candidate will be involved with designing commissioning and maintaining programmable logic controllers and humanmachineinterface software. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build and develop good relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop test and maintain PLC programmes
Program and modify control systems using Stepper/Servo drives Robots etc.
Create and edit HMI systems.
Analyse problems and troubleshoot issues remotely or at customers sites.
Carry out maintenance/modification visits at customers sites.
Enhance system performance through electrical or software modifications.
Liaising with procurement to ensure products are delivered on time and to the right quality
Requirements:
Previous experience in the outlined responsibilities.
Proven experience in PLC programming.
Familiarity with Siemens PLC software and Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley.
Excellent problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills both verbal and written
An electrical background would be advantageous for working with electrical drawings and systems such as drives conveyors motors and control panels.
