RPOs client is actively seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team in Cape Town Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detailoriented and driven professional to lead financial operations within a dynamic environment.
Position Overview:
Role: Financial Accountant
Level: Middle Management
Reports to: Managing Director
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Cape Town
Remuneration: Marketrelated
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial policies procedures and goals
- Prepare financial statements reports and budgets
- Establish and improve financial system controls
- Monitor and manage financial accounting reporting and cash flow
- Maintain banking relationships and ensure operational funding
- Forecast costs revenues and manage contract/project financials
- Manage tax payments and ensure groupwide tax efficiency
- Analyze and report financial variances with costsaving strategies
- Assist the MD with budgeting and financial decisionmaking
- Oversee capital budgeting and financial forecasting
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audit processes
- Maintain accurate ledgers accounts and financial records
- Support the development mentorship and upskilling of the finance team
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years finance experience in the construction industry
- Must reside in Cape Town
- Proficient in Buildsmart and MS Office
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (both verbal and written)
- South African Citizen
- Valid unendorsed drivers license and own vehicle
