As a member of the team you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features drive the system architecture and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for passionate Software Engineers who have experience building innovative applications that customers love. As a member of the team you will help with design implementation and launch of many key product features. You will have influence on defining product features drive operational excellence and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
The ideal SDE candidate is clearly passionate about delivering experiences that delight customers and creating solutions that are robust. A commitment to team work hustle and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating reliable scalable and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and practical experience building largescale distributed systems. This person has thrived and succeeded in fast paced environment where learning new concepts quickly is a must.

As a member of the team you will help with design implementation and launch of many key product features. About the team
A lot of Alexa customers know that they can ask Alexa questions and she will respond. However the Automation Platform charter is to enable proactive experiences that happen automatically without the customer asking for them. If you have used Routines in Alexas Mobile App you have used the Automation Platform.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
