In this role you will collaborate with functional leaders to implement supply strategies manage supplier programs and drive significant cost savings. Your contributions will directly impact our mission and support our global customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with functional leaders to plan and flawlessly implement sources of supply and supplier management programs.
- Drive cost savings initiatives and handle contract portfolios to ensure commercial obligations are met.
- Demonstrate commodity expertise and produce/manage RFP documents to identify optimal sourcing solutions.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure excellent value and cost savings.
- Proactively seek savings opportunities across commodity spend.
- Support process improvements and bold process change initiatives.
- Establish and improve relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Build and maintain vendor performance metrics/scorecards and review/report quarterly.
- Analyze historical and forecasted usage for materials and establish robust supply chain processes.
- Assess business risk with solesourced vendors and identify/qualify alternate vendors to mitigate supply disruptions.
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from a fouryear college or university. (packaging or engineering focus preferred)
- At least five years of successful experience as a sourcing professional.
- Proven track record in leading the sourcing and qualification process for thirdparty suppliers negotiating commercial terms and managing complex supplier relationships.
- APICS CPM CPIM certification preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of strong results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Analytical experience compiling and reporting spend discounts pricing reductions etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project management skills including the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Expertise in supplier relationship management contract negotiations and supplier development.
- Proficiency in price cost analysis decision making and problemsolving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and effective information presentation/query response.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Access Outlook).
- Basic understanding of regulatory requirements such as GMPs and GCPs.
- bilingual English/ Spanish preferred
