Job Description
Academic Advising is an essential element of a students collegiate experience. Morehouse College will select a professional advisor to serve as Academic Advising Specialists. The Specialist will work collaboratively and intentionally with the Department Chairs and Faculty Academic Advisors of the academic division assigned to develop a success plan and a plan of action to address the needs of all students in respective departments. The Academic Advising Specialist will be selected for the Division of Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics STEM . The Academic Advising Specialist reports to the Director of Divisional Academic Advising. Excellent customer service skills and effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and 4 years of academic advising experience required
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree Significant coursework in the area of specialization for division unit served (Division of Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) and/or significant relevant work experience in academic advising preferred Project management experience/skills
