Job Summary
This position orders supports configures and installs IT equipment for the workforce in multiple states in both office and field environments. Resolves tier 1 computer hardware and software issues troubleshoots connectivity issues with PCs/laptops printers iOS devices CAD plotters and VOIP phone systems. Supports IT Director on special projects and IT upgrades and implementations.
Responsibilities
- Provide general end user support in a WindowsOffice 365 environment for office and field employees.
- Analyze troubleshoot and resolve a wide variety of technical support issues for employees including connectivity desktop/laptop hardware printer and software problems.
- Assist Senior IT Tech in traveling to new or expanding office locations to install and configure IT components.
- Configure laptops and supporting IT equipment for new hires load software and ship to appropriate work location.
- Assist Senior IT Tech and IT Director with projects upgrades and implementations as needed.
- Perform other job assignments as assigned by supervisor.
- Some overnight travel required.
Qualifications
- Working support knowledge with Microsoft Office Adobe Acrobat Remote Desktop printing computer hardware (PC and laptop) and webbased applications.
- Above average interpersonal skills are needed for this role.
- Must be a teamoriented efficient troubleshooter and possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Must have math calculation skills MS Office (Word Excel Outlook) experience.
- Strong written and communication skills required.
- Must complete a preemployment screening; ICE is a drugfree workplace.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Associate degree in IT Technology/Computer Science from an accredited university or equivalent work experience is required.
- CompTIA A certification is preferred.
- Two years of experience in IT support in an engineering or professional services environment is preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position predominantly involves 8 to 10 hours per day at a computer workstation with occasional standing and walking. The employee must be able to lift package and ship IT equipment up to 75 pounds. The office environment is indoors characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects and proficiency in recognizing sound tone and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.
Expected Hours of Work
This position will be a fulltime position. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with one unpaid hour for lunch each day. The IT Technician must be available for on call emergencies after hours. Flexible schedules may be available with prior approval from an immediate supervisor.
