Description
The Workflow Solutions Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design implementation and maintenance of robust and scalable workflow solutions. The role collaborates with crossfunctional teams including software developers project managers finishing engineers and solutions architects to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to customers. The role ensures the efficiency reliability and performance of workflow solutions in the industrial print industry. The role provides guidance to other team members on developing validation plans for new technologies as well as provides tier 4 level support to our customers.
Responsibilities
Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on workflow software in an industrial environment.
Contributes as a member of project team of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable cost effective and highquality solutions in the digital industrial print industry.
Primary interface between customer facing support engineers and product development teams.
Attend HP support calls work directly with customers and visit customer sites as needed to resolve incidents. Get to root cause develop solutions qualify coordinate and plan customer deployment.
Communicate issue status progress and resolution with management internal and outsourced development partners.
Draw and apply knowledge from developers in R&D to perform the Tier 4 function. Partner with R&D to ensure a successful NPI of key programs.
Pass on resolution knowledge to the Tier 13 teams with the goal of reducing the life cycle of the support request as well as increasing their ability to close more incidents.
Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Education & Experience Recommended
Fouryear or Graduate Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 710 years of work experience preferably in systems engineering computer programming language or a related field.
Understanding of the processes involved in commercial printing especially as needed to communicate with HP customers.
Practical knowledge and experience in the preparation and analysis of PDF files for printing including color management imposition and preflight.
Networking experience with VLANs Security.

The base pay range for this role is $130350 to $189000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience.
