Job Description

The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchesteris a charitable notforprofit organization serving 66 zip codes in Putnam and Westchester counties. The YMCA of CNW is committed to youth development healthy living and social responsibility.

The Before & After School Counselor is responsible for providing a safe nurturing environment by supporting the Site Leader in the daily implementation of the schoolage child care program.

Before & After School Counselor Job Duties:

Interacts effectively and frequently with all children

Maintains proper supervision of children meeting NYS OCFS ratio regulations.
Uphold the overall health & safety of each child enrolled

Ensure children have a positive fun safe experience while at the program
Models appropriate behavior in a positive respectful manner

Before & After School Counselor Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience working with children under 13 years
