What is this role like
Were looking for an energetic enthusiastic creative addition to our Product and Marketing team to join our growing team in Boston (Somerville office right in the heart of Boynton Yards off Union Square). Wed like you to own the technical documentation as well as product documentation thats customerfacing engaging and be a cross functional stakeholder in how Topsort presents its documentation to developers customers and general industry.
- Craft CustomerFacing Documentation Own and enhance all Topsort customerfacing documentation from developer docs changelogs to knowledge base from API documentation to case studies from website copy to email sequences.
- Tell the Story of our Product and Technology Go beyond traditional documentationweave a compelling narrative that not only informs but also captivates users making their learning experience seamless and enjoyable.
- Collaborate with teammates and experts Work closely with developers engineers product teams and even external industry experts to deeply understand the technology and translate it into wellstructured easytofollow documentation. At Topsort we believe in community based approach to develop docs and documentation as marketing.
- Keep the Story Fresh Ensure all documentation evolves with our product staying up to date with the latest features changes and improvements.Maintain clarity consistency and usability across all materials ensuring that Topsorts documentation stands out in both accuracy and engagement.
What (we think) you need to be successful were open to not checking all the boxes and be proven wrong by outlier candidates as well!
- A strong STEM background and product experience preferably Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Electrical Engineering Physics Philosophy.
- A Creative portfolio that showcases your best work can be writing samples powerpoints video demos podcasts or more we care less about the content format but more how you think and present ideas!
- Minimum 2 years experience in marketing technical documentation product or entrepreneurial endeavors
- Excellent communicator we expect strong verbal and written skills and your ability to adapt across a spectrum of different audiences to empathize with your audience.
- Fearless attitude: ability to dive into the unknown research and quickly learn about a new topic and become a subject matter expert on it.
