25madison is a NYCbased venture capital platform that builds and invests in earlystage companies. We partner with entrepreneurs from the earliest stages to build breakout businesses at our Studio and invest in PreSeed to Series A opportunities from our Fund.

Our team comes from a diverse set of companies like Flatiron Health Snap Lyft LinkedIn Google Goldman Sachs and Daily Harvest but we share a common background as builders and operators with a drive to help entrepreneurs move fast and build generational companies. The Opportunity

Were looking for a FullStack Lead Engineer to help us test feasibility prototype MVPs and drive earlystage product development across multiple new ventures. As our cracked engineer you will own the technical implementation of each new startup conceptrolling up your sleeves to grind out code while making strategic decisions that balance speed and scalability. If youve got startup experience an entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for turning ideas into robust products we want to hear from you.

Who Were Looking For

Youre a selfstarter who thrives in a fastpaced ambiguous environment. Youve worked closely with founders before understand the highstakes tradeoffs in earlystage product development and are ready to move quicklyfrom hacky prototypes to functional MVPs that delight users.

Startup Builder and Pragmatist

• 5 years of fullstack engineering experience ideally in startup environments.
• Youve scaled products from initial prototype to productionready making critical architectural and technical decisions along the way.
• Youre comfortable with iterating fast pivoting on requirements and finding spy solutions to uncharted problems.

FullStack Expertise

• Frontend: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React (our core frontend stack).
• Backend: Solid experience in at least one of Node Next Nest (or Rust Golang if youre a performance person) or Pythonbonus if youve dabbled in more than one.
• DataScience: Experience supporting data science teams and integrating ML/AI models. Hands on use with LLMs is great; handson ML/AI expertise is even better.
• You write clean testable and maintainable code that balances speed with longterm quality.
• Familiar with the B2B distribution business model and related operational/supply chain challenges a plus
• OR Experience with the tech stack at industrials businesses a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

HandsOn Engineering Leadership

• Youre prepared to own entire projects endtoend from ideation to deployment.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS GCP or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Youre unafraid to push code quickly but also know when to invest in scalability and best practices.

Team Player & Collaborator

• You communicate complex technical concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers as we expand our ranks.
• Collaborative spirit with a bias toward action you see hurdles as opportunities to innovate.

Target Annual Base Salary Range: $170000 $210000. Final salary will be determined by the candidates experience knowledge and skills. The salary reflected does not include an annual discretionary bonus equity compensation or other benefits offered by the Company as applicable.
