As the Senior Financial Accountant you will play a key role in financial reporting and provide valuable insights to support business decisionmaking. Youll work closely with the CFO General Managers and Operations teams helping drive financial excellence in a fastpaced retail environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting analysis and compliance supporting the business in making strategic financial decisions.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Managing key areas of the P&L and Balance Sheet ensuring all costs are accurately captured through journal and accrual preparation.
  • Preparing management reports with analysis of performance against budget.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the head office expenditure budget.
  • Identifying data inconsistencies between reports and the General Ledger.
  • Preparing financial reports including P&L balance sheets and variance analysis.
  • Compiling Board reports for inclusion in the monthly Board pack.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with accounting standards including occupancy costs store opening and closure costs and SSC department costs.
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy including preparing financial statements for ASX.
  • Performing ad hoc reporting and commercial analysis as required.
  • Assisting and coaching of junior members of the Finance Team.

WHAT YOULL BRING TO THE REJECT SHOP:

  • Degree in Accounting (CPA/CA completed or near completion preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excelstrong analytical and data skills.
  • Experience in corporate retail accounting (highly regarded).
  • Familiarity with SAP (a plus but not essential).
  • High attention to detail with strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with key stakeholders.
