Description
The Software Engineer develops maintains and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g. processingintensiveanalytics novel algorithm development manipulation of extremelylarge data sets realtime systems and business managementinformation systems) based upon documented requirements. Worksindividually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests softwarecomponents for adherence to the design requirements and documentstest results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes softwaredevelopment and software design methodologies appropriate to thedevelopment environment. Provides specific input to the softwarecomponents of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs software reuse use of Commercial OfftheShelf(COTS) / Government OfftheShelf (GOTS) in place of newdevelopment and requirements analysis and synthesis from systemlevel to individual software components.
Clearance
A current TopSecret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
ExperienceSeven 7 years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Fouradditional 4 years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelorsdegree.

- Provide development support for our neural machine translation workflows to include inference and fine tuning open source models.
- Assist in testing and tweaking hyper parameters to maximize inference performance
- Update front end UI for analysts to perform on demand scoring of models
- Provide devops and dev support for updates to machine translation resources based on demand
- Provide updates to metrics board to keep track of all internl and external requests
Clearance

Experience
Required skills:
- Development experience with java and python framework
- Build experience with gitlab and docker
- Build experience with ictorias or marathon
- Experience with metric frameworks such as logstash or ictoria
Desired skills:
- Experience and familiarity with opensource neural machine translation frameworks (pytorch openMT etc)
- Experience with language models that use scores such as BLEU and chrF
- Experience and/or familiarity with corporate machine translation solutions (sockeye marian)
