Job Description
We are currently seeking a Freelance/ContractWindows Server Engineerfor a large Government project based in Brussels initial 6 month contract with extensions circa400415 per day
The role will perform the following tasks:
- Design of complex architectures of Windows based server infrastructures
- Installation and administration of MS Windows server systems 2003 or newer) used as DB or application servers in large and heterogeneous networks
- MS Cluster Administration
- Windows Servers security and hardening
- Windows Servers specific procedures for Backup and Recovery
- Alerting and Monitoring
- Implementation of secure server infrastructures for public organizations
Must hold the following certifications:
- MCSA or MCSE
- Any Certifications in relevant fields (e.g. storage security or network environments)
- Any Certifications in operational and project management frameworks (e.g. ITIL COBIT PRINCE2 or PMI)
Technical experience with:
- TCP/IP Networking (SNMP SMTP DNS DHCP)
- Scripting (PowerShell VBScript)
- Active Directory
- Virtual servers technology
- Network and system management tools
- FCSAN storage solutions (EMC Hitachi IBM)
- Installation and configuration of centralised Backup/Archiving solutions
- Web Server software (MS IIS and/or Apache) administration
- Network Security and overall IT Security (firewalls PKI encryption etc.
