We are looking for a passionate Senior Mechanical Vehicle Design Engineer to join our talented team and contribute to the design and development of our nextgeneration vehicle systems and components.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Senior Mechanical Vehicle Design Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design and development of mechanical systems and components for vehicles. You will work on a variety of projects from earlystage conceptual designs to detailed engineering and testing. Your expertise in mechanical engineering vehicle systems and design tools will play a critical role in delivering highperformance innovative and manufacturable vehicle solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design analysis and development of mechanical vehicle systems including drivetrain suspension chassis and body structures.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Electrical Engineers Software Engineers and Product Managers to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall vehicle design.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g. CATIA and SolidWorks) to create detailed 3D models assembly drawings and technical specifications.
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate and optimize designs for performance safety and durability.
  • Oversee the prototype and testing phases working closely with the testing team to ensure that designs meet performance safety and regulatory standards.
  • Lead design reviews ensuring that all mechanical designs are innovative costeffective and manufacturable.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation including engineering drawings BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical reports.
  • Identify and resolve design challenges and performance issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide Junior Engineers and provide technical leadership to the design team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends materials and technologies to incorporate the best solutions into vehicle designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with a focus on vehicle systems and components (automotive or related industries).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (CATIA SolidWorks or similar) FEA tools and other engineering design software.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems including drivetrain suspension chassis and body structures.
  • Experience with design optimization materials selection and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex design challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with prototype testing validation and troubleshooting.
