AWMA is seeking a Mechanical Product Engineer to join our innovative team.
**Important:Please note the head office for our business is based in Cohuna (regional VIC) 3.5 hours away from Melbourne. We are welcoming applications that are looking for a lifestyle change and to relocate to the area**
About the Role
As a Product Engineer youll use SolidWorks and FEA to enhance product designs ensuring production efficiency and seamless project delivery. Youll work closely with Customers Sales Project Management Purchasing Suppliers Production and the Engineering team to support all technical aspects of AWMAs product range.
What Youll Do:
Engineering & Design Develop and optimise mechanical product models using SolidWorks. Conduct internal design reviews of models generated by product designers while supporting and overseeing the product development and R&D projects according to AWMA systems.
Technical Support Support all divisions of the business in any engineering and technical related function within the full product lifecycle including sales design development manufacture install commission or operation.
Process Improvement Monitor and refine AWMAs engineering processes for efficiency and quality.
Sales & Project Support Review project documents and models required to perform the engineering and design of the products. Provide technical input for costing concept modelling and project .
Factory Support Collaborate with production teams to enhance manufacturability and address design challenges.
Quality Assurance Conduct inspections manage Engineering Change processes and implement corrective actions.
Key Selection Criteria: (Please submit a cover letter with your resume outlining your experience to match the Key Selection Criteria)
Tertiary degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5 years proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) and FEA analysis.
5 years experience in mechanical product engineering and manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication and previous experience in either leading a team or direct customer engagement.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work across departments (provide examples).
