Job Description
Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Construction Equipment Technician to maintain repair and inspect our fleet of heavy construction machinery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely contributing to the success of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on construction equipment such as changing fluids filters and lubricating parts.
- Diagnose mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues using specialized diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure equipment complies with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Repair or replace faulty parts including engines transmissions and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and perform repairs onsite as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and supervisors to address complex issues and enhance equipment performance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or an associate degree in diesel mechanics automotive technology or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a construction equipment technician or in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
