Pay: $22.50/hr. plus $1.50/hr for 3rd shift differential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Mechanic II will perform routine equipment and facility repairs and service while complying with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Perform routine repairs and service on equipment and facility.
  • Minimize production downtime due to mechanical reasons through quick response.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and procedures such as lubricating cleaning adjusting etc.
  • Develop mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills with guidance from the Maintenance Supervisor Mechanic 1 or Maintenance Manager.
  • Utilize a wide variety of hand and portable tools to perform assignments.
  • Assist in running services to new or relocated equipment (air water electrical).
  • Perform carpentry work as needed.
  • Learn packaging equipment setup and changeover including fine tuning and necessary adjustment.
  • Comply with the rules and regulations set forth in Amys Kitchen Inc. employee handbook safety manual and the GMP booklet.
  • Follow lockout/tag out safety procedures during service and repair.
  • Use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • During peak season or base on company needs overtime is required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Requires a well rounded knowledge of the practices tools equipment and materials used within the Maintenance Mechanics trade.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as add subtract multiply and divide. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
