Job Description
Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Fabricator to support our Fontana CA manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to fabricate steel parts and tools using a variety of machines. This is a full time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance 401K Plan Paid Vacation/Sick time and so much more.
Starting Pay $19.18/HR
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under direct supervision assists in fabrication of steel parts. Equipment used may include overhead crane die shop machines and levelers
- Assists to position clamps stops and side guides to set job process
- Lifts workpiece manually by hoist device or forklift to machine bed or roller table and positions it against side guide and end stops
- Assists in layout of cutting lines on metal when shearing single pieces
- Assists in layout of bending lines on metal when bending single pieces
- Inspects work to verify dimensions
- Move raw materials and finished parts by forklift if licensed to do so
- Check output to spot any machinerelated mistakes or flaws. Bring any concerns to supervisor or leads attention
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned by the supervisor or lead
- Clean area at the end of shift
- Wear all required personal protective equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience operating a Press Brake Shears or conducting set up is preferred
- 1 years prior production experience or experience in a fast paced environment preferred
- Ability to read blue prints measuring tape basic math and problem solving skills (add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure)
- Understanding of basic CNC controls a plus
- Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances
