Job Description

White Owl is a family office that makes strategic financial investments to grow and develop the cultural social financial and intellectual capital of the two founding families whose interests it serves. White Owl is seeking a corporate lawyer to join its team in Markham as Senior Legal Counsel Corporate/M&A. Reporting to the General Counsel you will think strategically and work collaboratively with senior management to effectively pursue opportunities negotiate transactions and work actively with business partners and outside counsel on a broad range of corporate matters. This role will suit a collaborative selfstarter who has strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be involved in giving strategic legal advice across a variety of complex transactions and projects including equity and debt investments M&A and real estate development matters in addition to the broad range of agreements regulatory and other daytoday matters encountered when serving a diverse group of operating companies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of broad corporate and M&A experience and ideally exposure to the real estate development manufacturing or similar industrial sectors. An understanding of employment law litigation management insurance law and technology agreements will be considered assets. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a role that requires broad legal expertise strategic insight strong critical thinking skills and excellent judgment.
