Posting Summary
Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Training and Consultation Specialist in Comprehensive Services on Aging (Outpatient) for Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care. The Senior Training & Consultation Specialist provides a curriculum development point person and/or a field training/technical assistance point person in the COPSA Institute for Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders in addition to providing advanced level training and consultation services and technical assistance and curriculum development to support the operation and the mission of the COPSA Institute Training Education and Consultation Department and Rutgers University Behavioral HealthCare. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides advanced level training and/or consultation services. Develops delivers and monitors training program and activities for the COPSA Institute. Initiates a process of consultation needs assessment and analysis to identify goals and objectives for trainings. Utilizes tools and instruments for evaluation. Provides technical assistance in assigned project areas. Acts as a point person for assigned project areas. Builds effective relationships and networks with partners/community agencies/community members. Markets programs and participates in grant writing as needed. Ensures that trainings providing professional contact hours or Continuing Education Units (CEUs) meet or exceed the standards of each sponsoring agency. This includes developing all documentation delivery monitoring and evaluations. Maintains and updates electronic and printed educational resources related to aging dementia and caregiving for distribution to older adults caregivers professionals and others. Provides assistance with various research projects for members of the geriatric team as needed. This includes literature searches web searches and interviews with experts in various fields.

Overview
Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care UBHC established in 1971 offers a full continuum of evidence based behavioral health and addiction services for children adolescents adults and seniors throughout New Jersey. UBHCs 1060 experienced behavioral health professionals and support staff are dedicated to treatment prevention and education. UBHC one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in the country has a budget of $260 million and has 15 sites throughout New Jersey. Services are readily accessible and include: inpatient outpatient partial hospitalization screening crisis stabilization family/caregiver support community outreach and case management supportive housing supported employment prevention and consultation employee assistance programs and a licensed therapeutic school from preschool through high school. Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police veterans active military teachers mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers. In FY2016 UBHC treated 16199 consumers had 24502 admissions and touched the lives of 19441 individual callers through peer support. In addition UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services Children and Families and Corrections delivering 16000 trainings each year.

Preferred Qualifications
Professional licensure by discipline. Experience working directly with individuals and families coping with aging issues and neurocognitive disorders. Strong writing skills and computer skills (Word Access PowerPoint and Excel).
