Housekeeper Job Description
Liveout Housekeeper
Location:Property is an apartment in a serviced building in New York.
Hours:Subject to the needs of the Employer your normal working days will be Monday Friday 9:00am 7:00pm (approximately). However flexibility is required as there will be occasional weekend work along with covering breakfast and or dinner parties as required when the Principal is in residence. The expectation would be that the Housekeeper is present daily when the Principal is in residence (typically up to 1 week at a time).
Role:The role will involve cleaning and supporting in the smooth running of the houses for family and guests and liaising closely with the London and New York Private Office.
Salary: $40 / gross per hour depending on experience
Duties include:
Grocery Shopping
Cooking
Cleaning including antiques and artwork
Running Errands
Washing & Ironing
Cook healthy and simple breakfast when required
Enquiring instructing and managing contractors on works
Packaging and shipping of items
Providing access for visitors
Any ad hoc tasks as requested
Requirements:
Fluent English and strong communication skills
Have experience in other UHNW households
Ability to deal with a busy household with various contractors on site
Be flexible with hours to support the family as needed
High levels of cleaning including experience of cleaning antiques/furniture/artwork
Willing to personally complete all daily tasks and deep cleaning of property
Experience in laundry of specialised items
Be extremely organised and highly motivated; happy to go above and beyond
Be well presented
Be front facing with the client taking direction from them and the Private Office
Be independent discreet and use own initiative
Be able to take care of guests when in residence
Table service: trained in laying a table as well as serving at a table
Be capable with technology and sending emails project updates and updating spreadsheets
Healthy and fit to run around the house
Manage household expenses; keep accurate records and inventory; implement cost effective spending for supplies groceries and order management in general
