Position Purpose: The Business Development Manager is outwardly focused on identifying initiating and developing opportunities for the association. The position has primary responsibility for cultivating BusinesstoBusiness (B2B) relationships with hospitals health systems and other large organizations communicating product and market information with the intent of driving sales and expanding AACNs influence on the healthcare ecosystem. This position serves as a liaison to key business partners.
This position provides leadership to and operational oversight of staff in collaborating with internal partners in the efficient creation and operationalizing of innovative and impactful B2B programs and services as determined by the organizations strategic direction. The Business Development Manager is responsible for assigning and overseeing the work of the Business Development team as well as matrixed project management and business strategy staff to facilitate collaboration and strategic decisionmaking with internal business units. The Business Development team actively engages stakeholders to understand the current industry environment and issues that matter most to healthcare leaders our nurse community and their patients.
