Job Description
Currently seeking an Estimator Mechanical/Industrial HVAC with experience in specialized industrial refrigeration and HVAC solutions to support our operations by assembling accurate estimates reading documents writing proposals and communicating with vendors suppliers other contractors and customers for a team oriented client in Fort Wayne IN.Estimator Mechanical/Industrial HVAC Tasks:
- Analyze project plans specifications and site conditions to develop accurate cost estimates utilizing estimating software
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for industrial refrigeration HVAC mechanical and plumbing projects
- Prepare highlevel design/build cost estimates
- Complete estimating spreadsheets for final estimate recap reviews
- Source pricing from vendors subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and customers to ensure estimates align with project scopes and objectives
- Perform piping takeoffs and calculate labor material and equipment costs
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry pricing trends and regulations
- Support preconstruction planning efforts
- Attend prebid meetings and site walkthroughs
Estimator Mechanical/Industrial HVAC Profile:
- Possess a general understanding of hydronic piping HVAC mechanical plumbing systems and components
- Extensive knowledge in negotiated / competitive bid submissions
- 2 years of experience in mechanical / piping system estimating
- Ability to manage several project estimates concurrently
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word
- Ability to operate independently most times and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel and Blue Beam
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships in an existing markets
