Position Information
Texas A&M AgriLife Research seeks an outstanding motivated and organized individual to staff the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Building. This position will be 12 months and 100 AgriLife Research located at the Texas A&M RELLIS Innovation and Technology campus Bryan Texas. The purpose of this position is to provide coordination and manage general operations and scheduling of the facility and work closely with PIs of the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Building. This individual will help coordinate multiresearch projects and activities across the building as well as compliance and billing. In addition the individual will coordinate all activities associated with the research teaching and extension missions of the land grant system.

This facility includes research labs educational spaces office space and animal holding and handling areas supporting the universitys leadership in animal reproductive science. In pursuit of continual excellence in reproductive technology research the Center provides dedicated research lab space for emerging technologies and practices for both academic and industry partner use.
Focused on domestic animal reproduction research in small and large ruminants the Center has a variety of exterior animal holding and handling spaces for specimen collection and handson instruction. These areas are segregated by size and type of ruminants small ruminants such as goats and sheep large ruminants such as cattle deer and transgenic animals. Designated work areas for each group will include cattle and deer chutes for specimen collection stanchion space for handson instruction in cattle palpation and other skills and prep and recovery spaces for small ruminants before and after surgery. These workspaces are supported by loadout areas holding pens and alleyway circulation.
The Center will support handson learning augmented by virtual demonstration methods. Training spacesa multipurpose rooms and seminar rooms should be integrated with the primary research areas and animal handling spaces to expose students to new techniques and technologies. Selective use of video capture screen capture and direct visual observation should be explored and supported in the Centers research instructional and animal handling spaces.
Located on the Texas A&M RELLIS Innovation and Technology campus with ample space for dayuse pens pastures traps and other exterior animal spaces the new Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center has approximately 7500 assignable square feet which translates to approximately 12600 gross square feet. In addition to the built facility the Center includes approximately 11500 square feet of exterior covered space. The integration of the building with the animal handling spaces is critical to properly transfer and process specimens.
