Job Description
Business Insider is hiring a Director / Manager Strategy & Operations to work closely with our SVP Strategy & Operations on project management strategy reviews and strategic initiatives that will drive the companys growth.

The Role & Team:
- The Strategy & Operations teams mission is to create and help operationalize actionable and data informed initiatives across the organization based on BIs vision and strategy. Its goals are to establish and improve aligned and clear strategies actionable and sound analytics and operational excellence across the entire organization.
- The Strategy & Operations team is made up of the Analytics team and Strategy & Operations managers.
- This person will be working with other leaders across BIs newsroom and business functions.
- This person will report to the SVP Strategy & Operations and help translate the companys vision into strategies and initiatives for departments and teams.
- The S&O team serves as the internal launchpad for starting up new business areas and ventures that align to BIs strategy.
This person will introduce stellar project management and transparency to the organization in light of executing on our strategy. This person brings worldclass communication project management and presentation skills to the table to achieve success across different departments in the organization.
Because this job requires fastpaced constant collaboration this person will be expected to work from Insiders New York headquarters most days of the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review strategies for the newsroom and different parts of the business functions across advertising subscriptions and business development.
- Support the operational leaders in achieving operational excellence through refining processes resource allocation and prioritization.
- Develop tactical plans for strategic initiatives across BIs portfolio.
- Work with the analytics insights and research teams to clearly define success by setting quantitative and qualitative goals and processes to track these accordingly.
- Develop operational plans to start new businesses within BI that are aligned with our mission.
- Be responsible for aligning goals and KPIs to overall and departmental strategy and objective.
- Create gold standard in communication and presentation of strategic updates across the organization and towards shareholders.
- Consistently evaluate workflow and communication channels to identify areas where we can improve tooling and logistics for greater efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Experience in management consulting or a comparable role within a media or technology company.
- Experience and a deep understanding of the media industry and its current landscape.
- Excellent analytical and data skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills. An ability to communicate complex topics concisely but without oversimplifying.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $150000 $200000 (dependent on skills experience and competencies)

This role will be located in the NYC Metro area. This person will come into the NYC office at least three days a week.
