Responsibilities include but not limited to for front line leadership supervision of plant operations including shipping and receiving and blending.

Responsibilities- Performs supervision of department and sitespecific plant operations including but not limited to truck and rail loading/unloading tank farm operations scanning applications for Waste tracking.
- Supervises and mentors union employees.
- Training and development of new hires.
- Following up to ensure they are trained properly and signed offAbility to streamline and improve processes.
- Able to review all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs) annually and score satisfactorily on quizzes.
- Acts as the recognized subject matter expert in their area(s) of responsibility.
- Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety rules Standard Operating Procedures and all other sitespecific policies and procedures and holds employees accountable when they do not.
- Ensures that supervised operations/ employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
- Writing various permits such as HOTWORK
- Works under the direction of the S&R Manager or equivalent.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in their areas of responsibility.
QualificationsWhat does it take to work at SafetyKleen
- High School or equivalent
- 3 years supervisory type experience in an industrial environment (PetroChemical exp is a plus!
- Experience managing union employees
- Proven problem solver
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience writing HOTWORK permits and other permitting is a plus!
- Proficient MS Office Suite Word Excel and Outlook
- Rail and Tanker knowledge dealing with liquids is an asset
- Fair leader who motivates and builds trust
- Ability to streamline and improve processes
- Must work well under pressure and pivot as needed
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Computer literate
