The Role:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the software conversion of new PBS customers helping them transition from their current DMS provider to PBS.
This position is based out of our Arlington office. 50 of your time will be spent in the office and 50 of your time will be spent traveling to customer sites throughout North America as part of the preinstallation and installation team.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Lead and manage software conversion projects including planning organizing and implementing project activities
- Collaborate with customers and other stakeholders to define project goals scope timeline and resources
Training Management:
- Coordinate and oversee training programs for customers on the use of PBSs software
- Ensure that training materials are uptodate effective and aligned with the project objectives
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to address any trainingrelated issues
Data Conversion:
- Develop and implement data conversion plans to transfer data from the customers existing software to PBSs software
- Ensure data integrity accuracy and security throughout the conversion process
- Troubleshoot and resolve any datarelated issues
Integration Management:
- Establish and maintain integration with other thirdparty companies such as CRM systems DMS providers and other software vendors
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of PBSs software with other systems
Other Duties:
- Maintain regular communication with customers internal teams and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status risks and issues
- Prepare and present project progress reports metrics and other documentation
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks timelines and resources simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Ability to be adaptable and adjust plans and strategies to keep projects on track
- Ability to work collaboratively with the project team to achieve goals
- Ability to lead the project team to success by providing clear direction motivation and support
- Identify and solve problems that may arise during a project
- Learn and develop an understanding of the PBS software
- Achieve and maintain one silo certification
- This role requires 50 travel to customer sites located in different regions travel may be domestic or international depending on project requirements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 12 years experience in the automotive industry or dealership operations is required
- 12 years experience in project management preferably in software implementation or conversion projects is considered an asset
- College diploma or bachelors degree in computer science business administration or a related field is considered an asset
- Strong problemsolving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to travel within Canada and the USA a minimum of 2 weeks per month; in consequence proof of valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable) and valid full class drivers license are required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work nonstandard hours as needed
