A day in the life
We are seeking a midlevel fullstack Software Engineer who will be a major contributor to our team demonstrating the passion and drive that will help us take our mission Every expense complete to the masses.
You love solving challenging technical problems while also having a deep drive to champion continuous improvement of the practices in your team and across the company.
This position will be mentored by our TechnicalLead and Head of Engineering who between them have more than 20 years of web application and full stack experience. It will also give you the opportunity to be a core member of a growing engineering team helping develop a bestinclass product suite.
You will work as part of a crossfunctional team including Product Managers QA Engineers and UX/UI designers to achieve product roadmap goals.
Skills wed love you to bring along
Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or equivalent with 24 years of frontend/backend exp.
Working experience with React (Typescript) Python Django or similar
Familiarity with testing tools like Pytest and React Testing Library
Experience working with and managing a cloud provider such as AWS (we use a variety of services such as ECS RDS EC2 CloudWatch Elasticache etc.
Experience with AIintegrated development environments such as Cursor Bolt Lovable etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders
Dedicated and resilient supporting Weel in achieving the company goal of providing our customers with the best product and experience
Experience working with software engineering best practices such as testdriven development and code review processes
Bonus Points
Experience with Chalice Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience with Vercel NextJS
