Our client is seeking two Senior Commercial Lines Underwriters to join their National Brokerage in NYC! Please see qualifications below:
Your Impact:
- Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines.
- Makes appropriate decisions based on the evaluation of underwriting information.
- Effectively communicates and negotiates underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Documents decisions in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Acts with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/requests.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
- Underwrites a moderate book of business with a moderate to complex risk profile.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Associate Degree or higher plus 5 years of relevant commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience. Additional 2 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Excess and Surplus Lines experience is highly preferred.
- Must have the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.
- Must provide creative analytical and innovative thinking to inure to productive problemsolving.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is preferred.
