Contract Type: 1 x permanent contract 2 x 12 month fixed term contracts

Working Hours: 37

Worker Type: Hybrid (office educational bases and home) candidates must be able to undertake weekly work in Nottingham.

Salary: Starting Salary is 44711 (Level one) rising to 47754 (Level four) pro rata for parttime

About the Role

The role of an SEN Casework Officers requires you to manage casework and achieve effective outcomes for children and young people with the most significant complex special educational needs within a defined geographical area. Facilitate and lead a multiagency approach according to the Children and Families Act 2014 with partner agencies. You will have the ability to devise implement and monitor cost effective individual alternative education programmes for those children and young people with the most complex needs. A main focus of the role is to ensure that EHCPs are of a high quality and completed and issued within statutory timeframes defined within the Children and Families Act. Candidates will also be required to represent the LA at Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals (SENDIST) and prepare and submit the LAs Statement of Case.
