Planning Analyst
Position Summary
Greendale is one of Catalents gummy technology development and manufacturing facilities in North America. The site manufactures organic and veganbased nutraceuticals via confection to enhance wellness for all consumers. Simply put we make healthy gummies. Within the Catalent network we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve difficult development and manufacturing challenges.
The Planning Analyst is responsible for managing the safety stock program at Catalent Greendale. This will include working with Inventory Control to ensure cycle counts are completed prior to reporting inventories to the client. This position will work closely with the Material Planners on ordering quantities and the production plan. The Planning Analyst is responsible for managing all materials within the safety stock program to meet trial commercial and process development manufacturing requirements.
The Job
Will be considered site point of contact for the customer related to Safety Stock status
Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system (JD Edwards) for all MRP functions and inventory control.
Interface with the Manufacturing and Quality groups to resolve material availability and production tracking issues on a real time basis.
Coordinate production inventory management and procurement activities by partnering with the Scheduling Manager Manufacturing R&D and Project Management.
Manage materials throughout full lifecycle from initial creation through end of life through customer chargebacks and disposals.
Weekly review of aging inventory to ensure materials are consumed prior to expiration
Good knowledge and understanding of customer contract (Supply Agreement/Quality Agreement) including but not limited to firm zones; purchase order requirements; delivery requirements; limits of liability.
Coordinate with the Warehouse team for shipment of products/samples ad hoc shipment requests and material inventory.
Assists Finance team with analysis collection issues tiered pricing tracking credit issuance and other activities as needed. Supports compliance and business review activities for each assigned client.

The Candidate
Bachelors Degree required.
Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (JD Edwards or similar) required.
Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Practical knowledge of MRP database management inventory planning and forecasting and product structures.
Candidate must be comfortable interacting with suppliers and customers via email telephone and face to face interactions including situations that may require assertiveness.
Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
Knowledge and experience in GMP environment is preferred.
Ability to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments is required.
Individual may be required to sit for extended periods. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.
Infrequent lifting overhead reaching less than or equal to 15 lbs. with the ability to potentially be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull 40 lbs.
