Job Description
Role Purpose:
At Jumio the Software Development Engineer III Web will lead the development of highly responsive scalable and userfriendly web applications. This role involves creating exceptional frontend experiences using modern frameworks like React Angular or Svelte optimizing performance and maintaining seamless API integrations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping Jumios cuttingedge Identity Verification products driving excellence in user experience and setting a high standard for frontend engineering practices.
TShaped Engineering Expectation:
As part of Jumios engineering culture you will adopt a Tshaped engineering approach by contributing across the development lifecycle. This includes actively participating in UI/UX design discussions optimizing web performance and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaboration with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration. You will take ownership of delivering highquality maintainable code that not only meets immediate project goals but also supports longterm scalability and performance.

Example Responsibilities
- Develop test and maintain responsive and userfriendly web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React Svelte and Angular.
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into highquality maintainable code.
- Optimize web applications for performance scalability and crossbrowser compatibility.
- Build reusable components and frontend libraries to ensure consistency and future scalability.
- Implement state management solutions to manage application workflows efficiently.
- Integrate APIs and ensure smooth communication between the frontend and backend systems.
- Uphold best practices in software development advocating for excellence in quality documentation and implementation

Experience and Qualifications
- 6 years of professional experience in software development
- Profound knowledge of web technologies and their impact on project outcomes
- Experienced in web/frontend technologies such as JavaScript REST and related relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g. Lit Angular Vue.js Node.js React
- Strong analytical conceptual and structured thinking abilities
- Effective communication skills in English both written and verbal
Great to have Experience and Qualifications
- Experience working in a globally distributed team
- Fullstack development skills including Java Spring Boot and AWS
- Knowledge of integrating ML models in Web
- Prior experience with a graph visualization library such as yFiles
- Experience with bundlers (Vite Rollup Webpack
- Experience in developing and shipping libraries/SDKs
