The Care Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing managing and developing Caregivers/Home Health Aides forSenior Helpers of Portage/Geauga within (and around) the franchise territory. This will include all Caregiverhiring recognition programs training and performance improvement plans.

Location: Onsite at 10 SChillicothe Rd Aurora OH 44202. Ability to commute daily to the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the Caregivers including performance improvement development and implementation of caregiver training programs in collaboration with the owners.
  • Conduct quality assurance site checks of each caregiver to ensure care plans are being followed correctly policies and procedures are adhered to and all job duties are performed in a manner that is satisfactory and meets the Senior Helpers brand expectations.
  • Create or maintain moralebuilding recognition programs for the caregivers such as Caregiver of the Month acknowledgments of highlevel performances and training completions.
  • Assist with activities focused on the Center of Excellence a oneofakind mockup of a seniors home for training purposes.
  • Review the daily logs and time sheets to ensure that each caregiver is following the care plan and that lost hours are identified.
  • Regular review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure company goals are being met consistently and red flags are identified early.
  • Develops and contributes to the monthly caregiver newsletter.
  • Communicate all new hires terminations and inactive employees to the Scheduling Coordinator for accurate records in the home care software (WellSky).
  • Manages all caregiver callouts late arrivals early departures and refusals of assignments; takes appropriate action based on established company policies.
  • Works closely with the Scheduling Coordinator to assist with the schedule maintaining a clientfirst focus.
  • Works collaboratively with the owner/CEO to ensure manpower needs are met during our continual growth.
  • Ensure that applicants have been adequately screened and that orientation/hiring sessions are comprehensive according to standards and are conducted for all new hires.
  • Work closely with clients and their families to ensure all needs are being met and issues are quickly resolved.
  • Perform client/caregiver introductions asneeded when conflicts arise with the Client Services Director.
  • Conduct interviews and onboard Caregivers or other future direct report positions.
  • Participate in an oncall rotation for weekends/holidays/afterhours situations that may arise.
  • Assist owners with marketing events as needed.

NonEssential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience managing employees hiring and/oronboarding required preferably in a healthcarerelated setting.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Experience in conflict management and coaching employees.
  • Ability to use critical thinking to proactively prevent and solve problems.
  • Ability to visit clients homes in the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook and learn new software quickly.
  • Strong communication skills to understand whether email text or telephone is appropriate during different situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information handled.
  • Adhere to federal state and local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to pass a background check and BCI/FBI fingerprint check per local state and federal law.

Qualifications that will really set you apart from the rest (not required but highly desirable):

  • Previous experience working in the ClearCare/WellSky application as a people leader or in a backoffice support position.
  • 2 years in a supervisory position directly for a nonmedical home health agency.
  • Senior GEMS or similar Alzheimers/Dementia certification.
  • Veterans Administration (VA) experience either as a former employee or as an agency working directly with the VA.
  • Familiarity with Medicare Advantage/Part C as it pertains to nonmedical inhome care.
  • Familiarity with Long Term Care Insurance plans.
  • Ohio Department of Aging/Medicaid/Passport experience.
  • Financial acumen to understand how your decisions may affect the bottom line.
